Jumping back on the wagon!

Well, obviously these are not the most attractive pictures, but it’s my truth right now. Many of you have followed my journey that began with the Advocare 24 Day Challenge on January 2, 2017. I had a couple of bumps along the way, but it led me to my goal of being 125 pounds before my 25th birthday. I will write more about that soon…

A couple of days before my birthday, our life turned into a whirlwind. Dylan accept his new position with Fanatics (again, I’ll post about that one day) and we had 2.5 weeks to get to Jacksonville, Florida…a place we had only been once and said we were never coming back to. Funny how that works! Anyways, I rushed home from work the day he got the job and he was already on the computer researching moving companies and that night we began packing our house up, that we moved into a year and 2 weeks before. When I say “we”, I really mean Dylan because he did most of the work.

Our house was soon in boxes, including our entire kitchen, so that only left us with one option…eating out. We didn’t eat out for 42 days straight in the beginning of the year, and now here we were eating out a lot again. We also had to cancel our gym membership. When we got to Jacksonville, we were in a tiny condo and the kitchen was minuscule. Seriously, I have NEVER seen a stove/oven this small and I hope to never again.

It was hard to meal prep because we barely had room. Yes, I am aware that although this is the truth, this is also somewhat of an excuse. If there’s a will, there’s a way. We ate rotisserie chicken salads for lunch, but Dylan began to eat at the food truck at work more often than not. We also went out for dinner several times a week. I have a friend that lives down here and she hooked us up with all the good places to eat. We also discovered an all you can eat sushi place for $16!! We had only ate sushi like maybe 3 times before this, but that damn sushi place has become our weekly date night (until last week when we ended our addiction).

We’ve been feeling “fluffy” and pretty sluggish. We hadn’t worked out in going on 3 months and we were struggling with being consistent like we were in the beginning. We kept coming up with excuses as to why we couldn’t start today (oh, there’s a holiday…we’re traveling…etc.) and it would always get pushed back. Finally, we had had enough. We worked so hard at the beginning of the year and we were tired of throwing it away. We had a group of teammates starting their quarterly challenge at the beginning of July and we wanted in.

So here we are now. We started on Monday. We joined the gym and have woke up at 5:45am to work out before Dylan goes to work, which is totally the opposite of our lives in GA. We would go to the gym at 10pm or midnight lol, thanks Nike! I haven’t measured or weighted myself since April 25th, the day that I hit 125 pounds, two days before I turned 25! Although I have definitely been feeling fluffier, I was pleasantly surprised with my weight and measurements. I gained 5 pounds in the past three months and obviously lost some of my muscle. But honestly, I was expecting so much more. I haven’t been consistent on my lifestyle products in order to maintain my weight, so I consider this an accomplishment considering the way we have been eating. I had also only gained a couple of inches all over, 1 in around my chest (those things ain’t going nowhere) and 1 inch around my waist. Again, this is going to be considered a win. It doesn’t matter how small of a win it is, it is still a freaking win! I can’t wait to see my results this time around and get back into our healthy habits and kickin’ ass!

That brings us to the biggest week in Advocare- National Success School!!

We are currently sitting at the Jacksonville Airport because our flight to Dallas is delayed, but I am fine with that. I am so excited about this weekend at Success School because Dylan is going to be with me and get to experience the thing I love the most about AdvoCare, the CULTURE! Seriously, it’s second to none and everyone should experience it at least once. I can not wait for him to be around the type of men and leaders involved and truly experience the best of the best! Don’t get me wrong, he is already a great guy, but the growth that can come from this is truly amazing for both of us! We will be surrounded by over 20,000 champions and it is such a cool environment! There’s so many new, exciting things coming to the company and I can not wait to share our weekend with ya’ll!

What am I doing?!

Hey yall!!

I have had this idea of a blog in my head for about 5 months now, but I was waiting for Dylan to get us somewhere with palm trees so that it would actually make sense. There were definitely no palm trees in North GA! I am also the worst with technology and have no idea what I am doing, so this should be fun! In true Kristi fashion, it has taken me forever to actually sit down at my computer and type something out.

Since we recently made so many huge life changes, I’m using this little corner of the interwebs to document all of our new adventures so I can look back on them one day. There’s going to be a little bit of everything. Stuff about our tiny beach bungalow, redoing stuff in bright colors, the work that’s being done on the house that built me, our fitness and health journey, our travel diaries, inspiration and our dreams, us learning about NASCAR since Dylan is now in charge of that, the occasional outfit and obviously our handsome fluffy dog (I mean, he’s the reason for the name) and basically whatever else my little heart desires. I can go ahead and guarantee you that there will be no make up and beauty tutorials because I don’t know what the hell I’m doing when it comes to that and I barely even put on real clothes haha.

Anyways, one day I will figure out how to make this blog pretty and how to edit pictures and all that good jazz, but in the meantime here I am! Can’t wait to see where this life takes us and I hope you will join us for the ride!
